ஏற்காடு மலைப்பாதையில் மீண்டும் போக்குவரத்து தொடக்கம்
ஏற்காட்டில் கடந்த சில நாட்களாக இரவு நேரங்களில் பலத்த மழை பெய்து வருகிறது. கடந்த 5-ந் தேதி இரவு பெய்த கனமழையின் காரணமாக ஏற்காடு- சேலம் மலைப்பாதையில் சுமார் 50-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட இடங்களில் மண்சரிவு ஏற்பட்டது. இதன் காரணமாக முற்றிலும் போக்குவரத்து பாதிக்கப்பட்டது. இதைத்தொடர்ந்து நெடுஞ்சாலைத்துறை ஊழியர்கள் சம்பவ இடத்துக்கு விரைந்து சென்று 2 நாட்களாக இரவு, பகலாக போராடி சீரமைக்கும் பணியில் ஈடுபட்டனர். நேற்று முன்தினம் காலை சுமார் 11 மணி அளவில் சாலை போக்குவரத்துக்கு திறக்கப்பட்டது.
It has been raining heavily at night for the past few days in Yercaud. Landslides occurred at more than 50 places on Yercaud-Salem mountain road due to heavy rains on the last 5th night. Due to this, traffic was completely affected.Following this, the highway department employees rushed to the spot and worked day and night for 2 days to repair the accident. The road was opened for traffic at around 11 am the day before yesterday.
